Biography
2024-25 (Freshman): Essiet made his collegiate debut for the Hawks during the 2024-25 season, finishing with a 7-12 overall record and a .368 win percentage. He did not see dual action, competing entirely in tournament settings.
Essiet recorded one fall, two tech falls, three major decisions, and one decision victory during his freshman campaign. He opened his career at the Luther Hill Invitational (11/2/24), where he earned his first collegiate win on the mat by fall.
Essiet went on to earn the first podium finish of his career with a sixth-place finish at the Service Salute Open (11/9/24). He later added a fifth-place finish in the Open 125 division at the Dr. Tom Smith Invitational (1/11/25).
