2024-25 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Hawks, Hobbs made appearances in the Kaufman Brand Bayly UCM Open (11/24/24) and UCM Roger Denker Open (1/19/25).

2023-24 (Freshman): As a freshman, Hobbs made his collegiate debut at the Maryville Open (11/4/23), where he went on to pick up his first career win by tech fall in the amateur 285 division.

Personal: Hobbs comes to Quincy from Marine, Illinois, where he graduated from Triad High School. Matt is the son of Angela and Kurt Hobbs. During his time as a Knight, Hobbs was a part of the Illinois Greco-Roman State Championships, where he had a second and fourth-place finish. He was also a one-time FARGO National Qualifier. In his free time, Matt enjoys lifting weights and playing video games.

Why QU?
I chose QU because it is close to home and there is a great community within Quincy. I also have the opportunity to wrestle at the next level.
