Biography
2024-25 (Junior): In his junior season, Hunter had more wins combined with 16 than he did in his previous two, and he also led the Hawks with seven wins by fall. He earned three wins and helped the Hawks sweep the Loosbrock Duals (11/8/24). He followed it up with a 1st-place finish in the open 157 division at the Service Salute open (11/9/24), taking down teammate Easton Norris in the championship match. Vernon finished the season with three wins and a 6th-place finish at the DII Super Regional IV (3/1/25).

2023-24 (Sophomore): At the Maryville Open (11/4/23), where he made his collegiate debut as a freshman, Hunter earned three wins and a 7th-place finish in the amateur 149 division.

2022-23 (Freshman): Vernon made his collegiate debut at the Maryville Open (11/5/22) and picked up his first win on the mat with a 6-5 decision at 133 pounds in a 38-9 dual victory over Fontbonne (11/9/22).Â

Personal:Â Hailing from Las Vegas, NV, Hunter Vernon attended Faith Lutheran High School, where he proudly competed as a Knight. He earned a 4th place finish at the state level in high school. Beyond athletics, Hunter is passionate about a variety of interests, including real estate, law, gospel, coding, music production, marketing, investing, and managing money. He also has a love for good food and spending time with his dogs.

I chose QU because of the opportunity to wrestle at the next level. I hope to rise the ceiling of the Quincy wrestling program
