Orosco recorded one fall and two decision victories during the season. His top tournament showing came at the Luther Hill Invitational (11/1/25), where he picked up two wins and earned a fourth-place finish.

2024-25 (Sophomore): Orosco saw limited action during his sophomore season, but was effective when on the mat, finishing with a 7-5 overall record and a .583 win percentage. He did not see dual action during the year.

Orosco recorded four falls, one tech fall, one major decision, and one decision victory, with six of his seven wins coming by bonus points. His top performance came at the Service Salute Open, where he earned three wins and placed second in the Open 165 division.

2023-24 (Freshman): Orosco made an immediate impact for the Hawks during his freshman season, finishing with an 18-19 overall record and tying for the team lead in wins. He posted a .486 win percentage while going 4-4 in dual action, including a 2-2 mark in conference matchups, and scored 22 dual points for Quincy.

Orosco was one of the Hawks’ top bonus-point threats, leading the team with nine falls and four major decisions while also adding one decision victory. He made his collegiate debut at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open (11/4/23), where he went 3-2, picked up the first wins of his career, and earned his first podium finish by placing seventh in the Amateur 157 division.

Orosco added another seventh-place finish at the Greyhound Open (2/4/24) before closing the year with a sixth-place finish at NCAA Division II Regional #4 (3/2/24).

Personal: Orosco is from Springfield, Illinois, and attended Tremont High School. During his high school career, he compiled a 90-19 overall record and was a two-time state qualifier. He also earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Gabriel is the son of Brandy Santiago and Max Orosco. Outside of wrestling, he served as a student ambassador, helping guide prospective students through campus tours and providing insight into the student experience. In his free time, he enjoys drinking coffee, listening to music, and following his favorite wrestler, Spencer Lee.
