Biography

2025-26 (Junior): Ruiz joined the Hawks for the 2025-26 season after transferring from Modesto Junior College, finishing his first year at Quincy with a 10-15 overall record and a .400 win percentage. He saw limited dual action, going 0-5 overall and 0-3 in conference matchups.

Ruiz was a strong bonus-point threat throughout the season, recording seven falls, which was tied for the team-high, one tech fall, and two major decisions, with all 10 of his victories coming by bonus points. He made his Quincy debut at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25), where he went 2-2 in the Open 285 division and picked up his first wins as a Hawk. Ruiz added a sixth-place finish at the Service Salute Open (11/8/25) before later placing fifth at the Roger Denker Open (1/18/26).
