Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Senior): Groff turned in his strongest season in a Hawk uniform as a senior, finishing with a 13-14 overall record and a .481 win percentage. He was effective in dual competition, going 7-4 overall and 1-2 in conference matchups while posting a .636 dual win percentage and scoring 29 dual points for Quincy.

Groff recorded five falls, six major decisions, and two decision victories during the season. He opened the year with a podium finish at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25), placing fifth to begin his senior campaign.

2024-25 (Junior): Groff was a regular part of the Quincy lineup during his junior season, finishing with an 8-15 overall record and a .348 win percentage. He went 3-8 in dual action, including an 0-5 mark in conference matchups, while scoring 14 dual points for the Hawks.

Groff recorded three falls, one tech fall, and four major decisions during the season, with all eight of his victories coming by bonus points. His top tournament finish came at the Luther Hill Invitational (11/2/24), where he earned a third-place finish.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Groff joined the Hawks for the 2023-24 season after transferring from William Jewell, finishing his first year at Quincy with a 6-4 overall record and a .600 win percentage. He did not see dual action, but made the most of his tournament opportunities with four falls and two decision victories.

Groff made his Quincy debut at the Roger Denker Open (1/14/24), where he picked up two wins for the first victories of his Hawk career. He followed with a sixth-place finish at the Greyhound Open (2/4/24), bouncing back from an opening-round loss with four consecutive wins to reach the fifth-place match.

Personal: Groff is from Oak Grove, Missouri, where he graduated from Oak Grove R-VI High School. Before transferring to Quincy, he spent one season at William Jewell College.

Caleb put together an impressive high school wrestling career, compiling a 161-11 overall record and earning four state medals. He placed fourth as a freshman, second as a sophomore, third as a junior, and second as a senior. He was also the 2025 NWCA Leadership Award recipient and the 2022 Freestyle State Champion.

Caleb is the son of Jennifer and Devin Slimmer and has one sister, Katie. Outside of wrestling, he enjoys golfing and is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
