Biography

Career (2022-26): Pendergrass was a key piece of Quincy women’s wrestling from the program’s first season, helping set the standard for the Hawks throughout her four-year career. She finished with a 101-54 overall record and a .652 win percentage, becoming one of the first two Hawks in program history to surpass 100 career individual wins. She also went 30-15 in dual action with a .667 dual win percentage, scoring 139 dual points.

Across her career, Pendergrass recorded 28 falls, 42 tech falls, 25 decisions, and 19 ranked wins. She was a consistent presence on the podium, earning 19 podium finishes while winning four tournament titles. Pendergrass also climbed as high as No. 4 in the national rankings, became a three-time national qualifier, and closed her career as the first two-time All-American in Quincy women’s wrestling history.

2025-26 (Senior): Pendergrass closed out her Quincy career with another strong season, primarily wrestling at 103 and 110 pounds while climbing as high as No. 4 nationally at 110. She finished with a 27-16 overall record and a .628 win percentage, while going 9-4 in dual action with a .692 dual win percentage and 44 dual points scored. Pendergrass recorded 12 falls, six tech falls, and a team-high seven decision victories, while her 11 ranked wins led the team.

Pendergrass was a consistent podium finisher throughout her senior season, opening the year with a second-place finish at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25). She followed by winning the Ottawa Open (11/8/25), going 4-0 with two ranked wins. She also placed sixth at the Missouri Valley Open and sixth at the Grand View Open before taking second at NCAA Women’s Wrestling Regional #5 (2/20-21/26), qualifying for the national tournament for the third consecutive season.

On the national stage, Pendergrass earned a fifth-place finish at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships (3/6-7/26), going 3-2 to become the first two-time All-American in Quincy women’s wrestling history. She also became one of the first two Hawks in program history to surpass 100 career individual wins.

2024-25 (Junior): Pendergrass battled injury for much of her junior season, but still made a major impact once she returned to the mat. Primarily wrestling at 110 pounds, she finished with a 14-5 overall record and a team-best .737 win percentage, while going 1-1 in dual action with five dual points scored. Pendergrass recorded one fall, six tech falls, and six decision victories, which tied for the team lead, while also adding two ranked wins.

Despite the limited action, Pendergrass was at her best late in the season. She won the MBU Open (1/17/25) with a perfect 4-0 record before making program history at the NCWWC Region VI Tournament (2/23/25), going 3-0 at 110 pounds to become the first regional champion in Quincy women’s wrestling history and qualify for the national tournament for the second straight season. She closed the year by earning a seventh-place finish at 110 pounds at the NCWWC National Championship (3/7-8/25), going 5-2 to become the first All-American in QU women’s wrestling history.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Pendergrass put together a strong sophomore season for the Hawks, finishing with a 37-19 overall record and a .661 win percentage. She went 11-7 in dual action with a .611 dual win percentage, scoring 53 dual points on the season. Pendergrass recorded 10 falls, five decisions, and a team-high 21 tech falls, while her five ranked wins tied for the team lead. She also recorded the fastest fall on the team during the season, winning a match in just 0:06.

Pendergrass found the podium throughout the year, opening the season with a sixth-place finish at the Luther Hill Open (11/4/23). She followed with the first tournament championship of her collegiate career at the Luther College Open (11/11/23), going 4-0 in the varsity 123 division with two ranked wins. She added a fifth-place finish at the Missouri Baptist Open (1/20/24), a third-place finish at the Spire Classic (1/26/24), and another tournament title at the Grand View Open (2/3/24), where she went 5-0 in the Silver 116 division with a ranked victory.

Pendergrass closed the season by making program history at the NCWWC Region V Tournament (2/23-24/24), placing fourth to become one of the first three Hawks to qualify for the national tournament. She went 0-2 at the National Championship.

2022-23 (Freshman): Pendergrass made an immediate impact during her freshman season with the Hawks, finishing with a 23-14 overall record to tie for the team lead in wins while posting a team-best .622 win percentage. She was also one of Quincy’s top dual performers, going 9-3 in dual action with a .750 dual win percentage and 37 dual points scored.

Pendergrass recorded five falls, while leading the team with nine tech falls and seven decision victories. She also added one ranked win during her first collegiate season. Pendergrass made her collegiate debut at the Luther Hill Invitational, where she went 3-2 and earned a fourth-place finish in the varsity 123 division.

She continued to find the podium throughout the season, placing third at the Luther College Open (11/12/22), second at the Missouri Women’s Collegiate State Championship (12/3/22), fourth at the Spire Classic (1/27/23), and third at the Grand View Open (2/4/23).

Personal: Pendergrass is from Palmer, Arkansas, where she graduated from Palmer High School. She put together a decorated career on the mat, finishing as a four-time regional champion and two-time state champion. Trinity is the daughter of Shannon and Jeffry Pendergrass and has four siblings: Cole, Garrett, Tristen, and Jaydon.
