Quincy University Hawks

2024-25 (Sophomore): Jones competed in her sophomore season with the Hawks, finishing with a 7-8 overall record and a .467 win percentage. She did not see dual action, but recorded three falls, three tech falls, and one decision victory during the season. Jones also earned a pair of podium finishes, placing fifth at the Luther College Open (11/9/24) and fifth at the North Central College Open (12/15/24).

2023-24 (Freshman): Jones appeared in her first season with the Hawks, finishing with an 18-25 overall record and a .419 win percentage. She was a regular contributor in dual action, going 8-10 with a .444 dual win percentage while scoring 42 dual points on the season. Jones recorded 11 falls, one tech fall, and two decision victories during her freshman campaign.

Jones made her collegiate debut at the Luther Hill Open (11/4/23), where she went 1-2 and picked up the first win of her career by fall. She went on to earn three podium finishes, placing fifth at the Luther College Open (11/11/23), sixth at the Missouri Baptist Open (1/20/24), and seventh at the NCWWC Region V Tournament (2/23-24/24).

Personal: Jones is from Saint Louis, Missouri, where she attended Lafayette High School. She is the daughter of Lashonda Miller and has two siblings, Jackie Redden and Javontay Jones. In the classroom, Jones earned Academic All-State honors, highlighting her success as a student-athlete.

On the mat, Jones put together a standout career for the Lancers. She placed third at state, earned All-American honors, and set program records for most wins and pins in a season. She was also named Athlete of the Month and earned Wrestling Lancer of the Year honors. As a team, Lafayette earned two runner-up finishes and one third-place finish at the State Championships during her career.

Outside of wrestling, Jones enjoys lifting, reading, and traveling. Her favorite athletes include Tamyra Mensah-Stock, Simone Biles, and Kobe Bryant, and she is a fan of the Chicago Bulls.
