Personal: Elanna Hickman is from Alton, Illinois, and attended Alton High School, where she competed as a Redbird. She is the daughter of Nana Becoat and Elmer Hickman, and has siblings Roy, D’Antony, Jordann, Courtney, Elijah, Autumn, Emmanuel, and Koby. Her father, Elmer Hickman, played football at the University of Illinois and in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins.

Elanna excelled in wrestling, qualifying for the state tournament in her first year at 155 lbs in 2023, placing fourth at the IWCOA that same year, and earning 3rd place at the 2024 IHSA state tournament. In 2024, she was ranked 3rd in the state of Illinois, compiling a 37-6 record while winning her conference and regional championships, and was named an IHSA All-State Wrestler. Outside of athletics, Elanna enjoys writing, playing video games, and walking.

Why QU?
I chose QU because I wanted to continue to wrestle, and Quincy University gave me the opportunity to do so.
