Jimmy Eggemeyer enters his fifth season as head coach of the Quincy University men's wrestling program in 2026-27 after helping launch the program in 2022.
Since the program's inaugural season, Eggemeyer has helped build Quincy men's wrestling into a competitive program at the NCAA Division II level. Through the Hawks' first four seasons, the program has produced three NCAA Division II National Qualifiers and two regional champions.
The 2025-26 season marked another step forward for the Hawks, as Quincy posted a 10-9 dual record, setting a new program record for dual wins in a single season. Eggemeyer also helped guide Sabian Russell to another NCAA Division II National Championship qualification, giving the program its third national qualifier under his leadership.
Prior to Quincy, Eggemeyer served as the head assistant men's and women's wrestling coach at Lincoln College in Lincoln, Illinois. While at Lincoln, he helped guide the men's program to an AMC Conference Championship and an undefeated dual season. The program also produced eight NAIA men's national qualifiers and two NAIA women's national qualifiers during his time on staff.
In 2021, Eggemeyer led the Lathrop High School boys wrestling team to a runner-up finish at the ASAA State Championship while helping guide the girls wrestling team to a state championship. He was named the 2021 ASAA Coach of the Year after the program produced five state champions and 18 total state place winners between the boys and girls teams.
Eggemeyer also spent time as an assistant wrestling coach at Chadron State College from 2018-19 and as the head assistant wrestling coach at Southern Oregon University from 2013-16. During his time at Southern Oregon, he helped coach four NAIA National Champions and 14 NAIA All-Americans.
As a collegiate wrestler, Eggemeyer began his career at NCAA Division I University of Wyoming before transferring to Southern Oregon University following his redshirt season. At Southern Oregon, he was a four-year letterwinner and four-time NAIA National Qualifier at 149 pounds. He was a two-time NAIA All-American, finishing as national runner-up in 2012 before capturing the NAIA National Championship in 2013.
A standout prep wrestler in Alaska, Eggemeyer won the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award as a senior in 2008. He was also a two-time high school All-American, three-time state finalist, two-time state champion, and four-time state place winner.
Eggemeyer graduated from Southern Oregon University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health and later earned a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University.
