Jeff Haley

Jeffrey Haley enters his fifth season as head coach of the Quincy University women's wrestling program during the 2026-27 academic year after guiding the Hawks through the most successful season in program history.

In 2025-26, Haley led Quincy to a historic campaign in the program's first season competing in the GLVC and under the NCAA women's wrestling banner. The Hawks posted a 7-8 dual record, including a 2-3 conference mark, and finished ninth among 54 teams at the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships. Quincy produced the program's first NCAA individual national champion as Xochitl Mota-Pettis captured the 124-pound title, becoming just the second individual national champion in Quincy University athletics history.

Under Haley's leadership, the Hawks qualified four wrestlers for the NCAA Championships and produced two All-Americans while climbing as high as No. 9 in the national rankings. The season also featured the first two 100-career win wrestlers in program history as Maddy Barton and Trinity Pendergrass reached the milestone. Quincy earned three victories over nationally ranked opponents and featured six wrestlers with 20 or more wins.

Since launching the program in 2022-23, Haley has quickly established Quincy among the nation's top emerging women's wrestling programs. Over the program's first four seasons, the Hawks have produced 13 national qualifiers, three All-Americans, and one NCAA individual national champion.

A Quincy, Illinois native, Haley earned a Bachelor of Arts in health and physical education from Williams Baptist University before completing a Master of Arts in leadership with an emphasis in business management from Hannibal-LaGrange University.

Haley has been involved in wrestling since the age of five and enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Williams Baptist. A three-time NAIA National Qualifier and NAIA All-American, he earned First Team All-American Midwest Conference honors as a senior and graduated ranked second in program history in career victories.

Before taking over the Quincy program, Haley served as a graduate assistant coach at Hannibal-LaGrange University and worked as a student assistant coach at Williams Baptist. He also spent one season as assistant coach for the men's and women's wrestling programs at MacMurray College. Prior to arriving at Quincy, Haley had already coached one NAIA National Champion, 10 NAIA All-Americans, two WCNCAA All-Americans, and two IHSA state runners-up.

Haley and his wife, Emilie, reside in Hannibal, Missouri, with their dog, Murphy, and two cats.
