Personal: Seymour is from Jacksonville, Illinois, where she attended Jacksonville High School. She is the daughter of Molly Seymour and Scott Sims and has one sibling, Gavin Seymour. During her high school career, Seymour made history as the first female wrestler from Jacksonville High School to qualify for state all four years. She went on to become a three-time state placer.
