Biography
2024-25 (Freshman): Alexandra wasted no time finding her first career victory on the mat, as she placed fourth in the freshman/sophomore 117 division at the Luther Hill Open, where she picked up five wins. She placed again in the following tournament at the Luther College Open, finishing third in the 117 division.
At the Missouri Baptist University Open, Alexandra was one of nine podium finishers, as she placed in the sixth position in the 117 division. Tchekounova continued to place during the season, placing third in the 117 silver division in the Grand View Open. She wrapped up her freshman campaign with a near miss of the national stage, coming one victory short at the NCWWC Region VI Tournament.

Personal:Â Alexandra Tchekounova is from Marlboro, New Jersey, and attended Colts Neck High School. She is the daughter of Elena and Andrei Tchekounova and has a sister, Michelle. Outside of wrestling, Alexandra competes in jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai.

I chose Quincy University for the opportunity to grow in a close-knit, supportive environment with a strong women’s team that would push me to improve, both in practice and academically.
