Personal: Mia Hinkamper, a Saint Louis, MO native, attended Cor Jesu Academy, where she built an impressive academic and athletic résumé. She is the daughter of Roy and Allison Hinkamper and has one sibling, Clare. Her family has a strong history in athletics—her aunt, Rhonda (Hinkamper) Jensen, played volleyball at QU, where she was a two-year captain and MVP, while her cousin, Ian Hinkamper, was a standout tennis player at QU, earning 4x All-GLVC and Academic All-Conference honors. Her parents were also collegiate athletes—her father played football at Millikin (1991-1995), and her mother played soccer at Southwestern (TX) from 1994-1998.

Mia excelled academically, earning 4-year High Honors (3.75+ GPA) and contributing as a Student Ambassador and a Student Philanthropy Committee Member.

On the court and track, she earned two varsity letters in volleyball and was named to the 2021 Academic All-State Team and Academic All-Conference. In track and field, she was a four-year varsity letter winner, two-time team captain, and two-time All-Conference athlete in the Triple Jump and the 4x400 relay. She also won the 2021 Class 4 District 2 Triple Jump Championship. Additionally, she supported the basketball team as a team manager.

Her volleyball team secured a 2021 Class 5 State Championship, along with two MWAA Conference titles and a Belleville East Tournament Championship. During the 2021 season, she recorded a career-high 27 aces, 340 assists, and 125 digs.

Beyond sports, Mia enjoys lifting, coaching, and baking. She looks up to Kerri Walsh-Jennings, Scott Touzinsky, and TJ DeFalco and is a fan of STL City SC, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Houston Astros. Her family’s passion for sports runs deep—her grandfather, Ray Hinkamper, was inducted into the Quincy CYO, YMCA, and QND Halls of Fame for his dedication to coaching and supporting athletics in Quincy.
