Personal: Luísa Andrade, originally from Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, attended Arena Ensino Médio along with Yorkville Christian High School, where she played for the Mustangs. She was a member of the Brazilian debating team at the 2021 World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) and actively participated in her school’s Model UN team for two years. Passionate about social issues, she played a key role in the Vênus group, which empowered women in society by facilitating weekly discussions with students and staff—the first initiative of its kind at her school.

Athletically, Luísa had a standout senior year with a 28-5 record, earning the first seed in her region and helping her team achieve its best season record in 2021. She was also a member of her state's team in Brazil. She admires volleyball legends Macris Carneiro and Sheilla Castro and follows the Brazilian women's volleyball team, particularly Minas Tênis Clube.

Beyond sports and academics, Luísa is an avid traveler, having studied abroad three times to immerse herself in different cultures, languages, and communities. She enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and journaling. Her passion for service led her to participate in multiple volunteer programs from middle school through high school.
