Personal: Bergan is from Berrien Springs, Michigan, and attended Berrien Springs High School, where she competed for the Shamrocks. She is the daughter of Bill and Terica Bergan and has one sibling, Jake. Her father, Bill, played football at Toledo and later competed for the Cannes Iron Mask in France.

Bergan graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a multi-sport standout in volleyball, track and field, basketball, and golf. On the volleyball court, she was a three-time First Team All-Conference selection, three-year varsity player and captain, reached 1,000 career kills, ranked seventh in the state of Michigan in Division 2 in kills and 16th overall in the state, and was named to the All-American Watch List in back-to-back years.

In track and field, Bergan tied the school record in the discus, was a four-time First Team All-Conference selection, and served as a team captain. She was also a two-year varsity captain in basketball, earning Honorable Mention and First Team All-Conference honors, and became the first girl to compete on the boys golf team while playing two years of varsity golf.

Away from the court, Bergan enjoys drawing, coloring, watching TV shows, and being around animals. She currently works as a kennel attendant and hopes to become a veterinarian. Her favorite athlete is Bill Bergan and her favorite sports team is Notre Dame.
