Background
Kailey Owsley is a Quincy, IL native and is an Elementary Education major at Quincy University. She is the daughter of Richard & Rebecca Owsly and the sister of Paige (25), Jenna (19), and Carley (15). Kailey’s father attended QU as a football player from 1988 to 1991. Graduating from Quincy Senior High School with a 3.7 GPA, Owsley was rewarded with the All-Conference Academic Team 2017- 2018, Physics student of the year 2018, and the High Honor Roll 2017-2018 . On the court Owsly received the Herald Whig All-Area Honorable Mention Senior Year (2017) honors while playing for the Blue Devils. While at John Wood she was named to the Region 24 All-Region Second Team(2019) and MWAC All-Conference Honorable mention as a freshman and sophomore. Through her career at JWCC she recorded over 1,000 Collegiate Digs, and was named Distinguished female athlete of the year.
Why I chose
Quincy University was a perfect fit for me. I received great impressions from the women's volleyball coaching staff and players, professors, and advising team. It was also a very affordable option that was close to home. Quincy University is a school that encourages success not only on the court but in the classroom as well.
