Quincy University Hawks

Personal: Joya Hurey-Scott is from Lansing, Illinois, and graduated from Thornton Fractional South High School, where she was a proud member of the Red Wolves. She is the daughter of Jorrie Hurey-Scott and Jamie Scott and has a sister named Ivy.

Joya consistently ranked in the top 10% of her class all four years and was a three-year varsity athlete. She also served as a boys' volleyball manager and coach for three years, as well as a two-year wrestling manager. Her athletic excellence earned her All-Conference honors twice in girls' volleyball.

One of her most memorable experiences was being named an EXACT All-American, which gave her the opportunity to play volleyball in London for a week. Outside of sports, Joya enjoys photography.
