Biography
2024 (Freshman): In her first season with the Hawks, Elena put together one of the best-setting seasons in Quincy history. Kasavica played in all 31 games for the Hawks, totaling 118 sets played. Her 1392 assists rank third all-time in a single season in Quincy history and was tied for fourth in all of Division II. Elena averaged 11.8 assists per set, which tied her for the third-best all-time in a single season in Quincy, and it also ranked fourth in Division II. Elena led the team with 54 service aces (0.46 SA/S) and was fourth on the team with 289 digs (2.45 D/S). She also had 40 blocks (6 BS and 34 BA) to go along with 40 kills for a total of 117 points on the season (0.99 PTS/S).
Her collegiate debut came against Anderson (SC) (9/6/24), where she had 57 assists, two service aces, 12 digs, and four total blocks in a five-set victory. Kasavica had 30 or more assists in every match, 40 or more in 20 matches, 50 or more 12 times, and had a season-high 60 assists in a five-set win over Winona State (9/13/24). She also had 13 games with double-digit digs with a season-high of 18 against Missouri S&T (9/14/24).

Personal:Â Elena Kasavica is a dedicated volleyball player from Belgrade, Serbia, who attended Sports Gymnasium. She is the daughter of Sasa and Dinka and has a sibling, Sara. Her favorite athlete is Maja Ognjenovic, and her favorite team to follow is the Serbian National Volleyball team.
Why QU?
I chose QU because it was a great opportunity to play volleyball, and everyone within the volleyball program was very nice.
