Personal: Hernandez is from Orlando, Florida, and attended Timber Creek High School, where she competed for the Wolves.

She is the daughter of Eduardo Hernández and Liznelia Báez Ruiz and has one sibling, Jayden Hernández. Her mother, Liznelia, played college volleyball and competed in a semi-professional women’s volleyball league in Puerto Rico, while her aunt, Carmen Báez, played college volleyball and competed professionally. Alba Báez competed in track and field collegiately and represented Puerto Rico at the Central American and Pan-American level, while her father, Eduardo, played baseball in AAU competition and in the Double-A Baseball League in Puerto Rico.

Hernandez was involved in Help the Homeless Club and Psychology Club and was a member of the varsity volleyball team. She helped Timber Creek win the Premier Division Bronze Championship at the Nike Tournament of Champions.

During her senior season, Hernandez totaled 81 career service aces, 368 career digs, and 294 career receptions. She recorded a career-high 24 digs against Boone and a career-high 13 service aces against Freedom during the 2025 season. Hernandez also earned the 2025 Coaches Award as a senior defensive specialist and received AAU All-American honors in 2025 and 2026.

Away from the court, Hernandez enjoys sleeping, spending time with friends, coloring, and shopping. Her favorite athletes are Harper Murray, Elena Scott, Jude Bellingham, and Jayson Tatum, while her favorite teams are Miami Hurricanes Football and Nebraska Volleyball.
