Biography
Personal: Cassaundra "Cassie" Rankin is from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and attended Sevastopol High School, where she was a part of the Pete the Pioneer community. She is the daughter of Kelly Oram-Rankin and Robert Rankin and has a younger brother, Jaxon Rankin. Cassie was actively involved in academics, serving as the Yearbook Editor and Student Adviser, and was a member of the National Honor Society, graduating with honors.
She excelled in swimming and cross country, earning the title of Breakout Swimmer of the Year in 2021, a Merit Award the same year, and qualifying for the state championships in swimming in 2020 and 2023 and in cross country in 2020. She earned state honors in the 500 freestyle in 2023 and served as a team captain in both 2022 and 2023. Cassie became the 1650 State Champion in 2024.
In her free time, she enjoys four-wheeling, baking, and spending time with friends and family. Her favorite athlete is Katie Ledecky, and she is a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Why QU?
I chose QU for a variety of reasons, but the biggest deal breaker for me was how small the school was and how much the town felt like home.
