Biography

2025 (Sophomore): For the second straight season, Kasavica established herself as one of the top setters in the country. She ranked sixth nationally with 11.59 assists per set and ninth with 1,286 total assists, marking her second consecutive season with more than 1,000 assists. Kasavica also contributed 38 kills, 40 service aces, 370 digs, and 33.0 blocks for 99.5 total points. She recorded 19 matches with 40 or more assists, including a season-high 62 assists against Rockhurst (11/22/25) and Ferris State (12/4/25). Kasavica posted 21 double-doubles with assists and digs and registered a season-high 28 digs in a win over Indianapolis (9/26/25). Her 40 service aces ranked inside the top 10 in the GLVC, and she recorded 11 matches with multiple service aces.

2024 (Freshman): In her first season with the Hawks, Kasavica delivered one of the best setting campaigns in program history. She appeared in all 31 matches and played 118 sets, totaling 1,392 assists, third most in a single season in Quincy history and tied for fourth nationally in Division II. She averaged 11.80 assists per set, ranking third all-time in a single season at Quincy and fourth nationally. Kasavica led the team with 54 service aces (0.46 per set) and ranked fourth with 289 digs (2.45 per set), while also adding 40 blocks (six solo, 34 assisted) and 40 kills for 117 points (0.99 per set).

She made her collegiate debut against Anderson (9/6/24), recording 57 assists, two service aces, 12 digs, and four blocks in a five-set victory. Kasavica tallied at least 30 assists in every match, reached 40 or more assists in 20 contests, topped 50 assists 12 times, and posted a season-high 60 assists in a five-set win over Winona State (9/13/24). She also recorded double-digit digs in 13 matches, with a season-high 18 against Missouri S&T (9/14/24).

Personal: Elena Kasavica is a dedicated volleyball player from Belgrade, Serbia, who attended Sports Gymnasium. She is the daughter of Sasa and Dinka and has a sibling, Sara. Her favorite athlete is Maja Ognjenovic, and her favorite team to follow is the Serbian National Volleyball team.

Why QU?
I chose QU because it was a great opportunity to play volleyball, and everyone within the volleyball program was very nice.
