Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Junior): Miller competed in eight tournaments during her junior season with the Hawks, totaling 20.5 rounds. She finished the year with 1,837 strokes and averaged 89.6 strokes per round.

Miller’s top finish came at the Upper Iowa Invitational (4/3-4/26), where she tied for 21st out of 60 golfers after shooting an 86 in the rain-shortened event. She also carded her low round of the season with an 84 on two separate occasions.

2024-25 (Sophomore): Did not see action.

2023-24 (Freshman): Miller competed in three tournaments during her freshman season with the Hawks, totaling six rounds. She finished the year with 567 strokes and averaged 94.5 strokes per round. Miller made her collegiate debut at the Drury Panther Invitational (9/18-19/23), where she shot a 196 (+52) with rounds of 93 and 103.

Personal: Miller is from Lewistown, Illinois, and a graduate of Highland High School, where she competed for the Cougars. She was actively involved in the National Honor Society, Band, Color Guard, Art Club, and FCA, demonstrating both academic and extracurricular excellence.

Payton participated in golf, softball, track, and cheerleading. She earned Class 2A All-District honors in golf and was a 2023 State Qualifier. On the softball field, she was recognized as an All-Region Pitcher and set school records for most doubles in a season and most doubles in a career.

Outside of athletics, Miller enjoys photography, art, and reading. Her favorite athletes to Peyton Manning, Yadier Molina, and Jordan Spieth, and is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Blues. Payton is the daughter of Lori and Kevin Miller. She also has two siblings, Brooke and Anthony.
