Biography
Personal: Alexis Fonseca is from Harlingen, Texas, where she graduated from Harlingen South High School. The daughter of Michelle and Abel Fonseca, she excelled academically as a Top 10% student all four years. A standout runner, Fonseca led her school’s cross country and track teams from sophomore to senior year, helping secure district championships every season. She also guided her team to the Class 6A Conference Championship in 2022 and Class 5A Conference Championships in 2023 and 2024. Individually, she was the school’s lead female runner, qualifying for state in cross country her junior year. She graduated holding school records in both the 1500m and 5k. Fonseca spent one year competing in cross country and track at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley before transferring to QU to continue her athletic and academic journey.
