Biography
2019-2020 (Freshman): Played in all 28 games, averaging 11.8 minutes per game. Rivera was a main option off the bench for the Hawks while being one of two true freshman to appear in every contest. She made 48 shots on 103 tries (46% FG), while shooting 36% from beyond the arc (20-56). Shot 12-18 from the foul line (67%). Scored 128 points (4.6 ppg). Hauled in 72 rebounds (2.6 RPG) while adding 17 assists and 10 steals.
Background:
Rivera is from Madrid, Spain and is studying exercise science pre-physical therapy at Quincy University. Rivera is the daughter of César & Elisabet and has two younger siblings, Jorge (14), Pablo (10). Rivera graduated from IES Sapere Aude high school. Rivera has won multiple championships on the court during her career including a Spanish Championship first place title in 2020 and third place in 2018. Rivera won Madrid's national championship in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Why did you choose QU?
I chose QU because I felt like it would be a perfect place to be my home away from home. It has given me the opportunity to study overseas and get myself out of my comfort zone
