Courtney Boyd

Courtney Boyd begins her second season with the Hawks in 2024-25 after a rebranded 2023-24 campaign. The Hawks went 10-18 and garnered a second team All-GLVC honor in Cymirah Williams and an all-freshman team honor in Mariann Blass. 
 
Boyd, a Keokuk, Iowa, native becomes the thirteenth women’s basketball coach at Quincy University after a successful six-year tenure at Clarke University. Boyd went 155-42 with the Pride, leading the team to five NAIA National Tournament berths and finishing with a NAIA National Championship ring.
 
Boyd earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Dixie State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Augusta University. She was a two-year starting point guard and team captain fir the Dixie State women’s basketball team and set the school record for the most three pointers in a game (7). She also led the Keokuk High School women’s basketball team to a second place finish in the 2005 Class 3-A state tournament.
 
Prior to joining Clarke University, Boyd served as the Associate Head Women's Basketball Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.  In addition, she has served in numerous coaching roles at AIB College of Business in Des Moines, IA, Augusta University in Augusta, GA and Grand View University in Des Moines.
