Quincy University Hawks

2026 (Sophomore): Dumas became one of the Hawks’ top offensive producers during her sophomore season, appearing in 51 games with 49 starts. She hit .252 with a .306 on-base percentage while leading the team in slugging percentage (.483), OPS (.789), triples (3), and total bases (71). She also tied for the team lead with seven doubles and 33 RBIs while adding seven home runs.

Dumas opened the season with the first home run of her collegiate career against Kentucky Wesleyan (2/6/26), finishing the game with the first three-hit performance of her career and coming just a single shy of the cycle. She finished the year with eight multi-hit games. In the circle, Dumas made additional contributions with 37.1 innings pitched and 21 strikeouts.

2025 (Freshman): Dumas made 21 appearances in the circle during her first season with the Hawks, including 11 starts. She logged 63 innings pitched, struck out 27 batters, and recorded one complete game. Dumas made her collegiate pitching debut against Parkside (2/14/25), throwing five innings and striking out three.

In just her second collegiate appearance, Dumas tossed a complete game against Southwest Minnesota State (2/16/25), allowing one earned run across six innings with two strikeouts. She also saw limited action at the plate, recording her first collegiate hit with a single against Tiffin (2/23/25).

Personal: Kaidence Dumas is a native of Omaha, Nebraska, and a graduate of Westside High School. She comes from an athletic family, as her father, Patrick, played football and baseball at Dana College, while her mother, Heather, played volleyball at Midland University.

Dumas earned Academic All-State honors during her high school career while also making a major impact on the softball field. She helped lead Westside to the state softball tournament, broke the school’s home run record, and earned an invitation to the All-Star Game.

Outside of athletics, Dumas enjoys swimming, boating, working out, sewing, and fashion. Her favorite athlete is Jocelyn Alo, and she is a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
