Quincy University Hawks

2024-25 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Hawks, Hamilton made an appearance in 27 games, starting in 25 of them, where he averaged 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. Jake led the the Hawks with 35 steals (1.3 per game). Throughout the season, Hamilton led the Hawks in rebounding for eight games, which led the team, and led the Hawks in steals for 11 games, also leading the team. Jake scored a career-high 24 points in a victory over Illinois Springfield (1/11/25).

2023-24 (Freshman): As a freshman, Jake appeared in all 28 games for the Hawks, making 5 starts and averaging over 20 minutes per game. Hamilton dropped a season-high 14 points against Lewis on 2/14/24. For the season, he averaged 4.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Personal: Hamilton, from Springfield, Illinois, is a standout multi-sport athlete who excelled at Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin. A state champion in both football and basketball in 2022, he was a two-time CS8 Conference Player of the Year and the State Journal Register Athlete of the Year. Jake earned All-State basketball honors in 2022 and became the Cyclones' all-time leading scorer with 1,850 points.

A member of the National Honor Society and a High Honor Roll honoree, Jake exemplifies excellence on and off the court. He is the son of Bob and Sandy Hamilton, with Sandy being a former Illinois volleyball player and 3-time Big Ten Champion, and brother to Charlie and Will.
