Biography
2025 (Sophomore at Black Hawk): In her second collegiate season, Irby appeared in 65 games and hit .365 with 22 doubles, one triple, four home runs, and 53 RBIs. She posted a .424 on-base percentage and a .542 slugging percentage, scored 31 runs, and drew 17 walks against 32 strikeouts. Defensively, Irby recorded a .987 fielding percentage, committing just four errors in 299 total chances. She tallied 21 multi-hit games, including seven three-hit performances, and put together two separate seven-game hitting streaks.
2024 (Freshman at Black Hawk): As a freshman, Irby appeared in 55 games and totaled 172 at-bats, posting a .413/.490/.698 slash line. She recorded 19 doubles and 10 home runs while driving in 39 runs, scoring 39 times, and drawing 22 walks against 23 strikeouts. In the field, she finished with a .954 fielding percentage, committing nine errors in 194 total chances.
She made her collegiate debut in an 8–4 win over North Iowa Area (2/16/24), recording her first career hit. Irby hit her first collegiate home run in an 11–3 victory over Carl Sandburg College (4/4/24), then followed with her first career multi-home run game in the second game of the doubleheader. On the season, she posted 20 multi-hit games, including a stretch of five consecutive games with two or more hits.
Personal:Â Hailee Irby is from Pekin, Illinois, and attended Pekin Community High School, where she competed for the Dragons and earned Second Team All-Conference honors during her senior season. She is the daughter of Tim and Amber Irby and has one sibling, Landon.
Hailee spent two seasons at Black Hawk College before transferring to Quincy. As a sophomore, she was named Infield All-Conference and helped lead the Braves to an AAC Softball Championship, Region 4 title, and a berth in the NJCAA World Series. Outside of softball, Hailee enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, and going on walks. She looks up to Anthony Rizzo and is a fan of the Chicago Bears.
