Biography

2025 (Freshman): In her first season with QU, Stieferman made 27 appearances on the mound, which included 15 starts, and she also saw 34 at-bats. In the circle, Stieferman totaled 93.2 innings, where she was 4-10 with a 6.50 ERA. She threw six complete games, including her first career complete game shutout in a 9-0 win over Davenport (3/19/25), where she tossed five innings and only gave up one walk, one hit, and struck out four. Emma had a season-high seven punchouts against Lake Erie (2/28/25), which was also her first career win, as she threw seven innings in a 3-2 victory.

At the plate, Emma was 7-34 (.206) with three doubles and two RBIs. She tallied her first career hit in game two against Illinois Springfield (3/9/25), going 2-2 with a pair of singles. Her first RBI came in game one against Central Missouri (4/16/25), courtesy of a run-scoring groundout.

Personal: Stieferman travels north from Jefferson City, Missouri, to join the Hawks after a decorative career at Capital City High School. Over the course of four years as a Cavalier, Emma is third all-time with 113 career hits, 89 career RBIs, and a career on-base percentage of .409. She is also fifth in school history with a career .341 batting average. During her senior season, Stieferman batted .447, which was the fourth-best single-season batting average at Capital City High, and also posted a .520 on-base percentage, ranking second in program history for a single season. Emma was also very successful off the diamond. She was the Student Body Vice President and was named Academic All-State all four years.

When Emma is not playing softball, she enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, and being outside. Her favorite sports team is the St. Louis Cardinals, and her favorite athlete is Caitlin Clark. Emma is the daughter of Erin and Scott Stieferman and has a brother named Chase.
