Biography
2025 (Freshman): In her first season with the Hawks, Alexus appeared in 35 games and made 31 starts to go along with nine appearances on the mound. At the plate, she hit .232 with two doubles, one triple, and three home runs. She drove in 13 RBIs and scored 12 times. Freeman recorded her first collegiate hit with a run-scoring single against Tiffin (2/23/25), which was the same game she hit her first career home run.
On the mound, she threw 17.2 innings and had a 9.11 ERA and a 3.17 WHIP. She made her collegiate debut in the circle against Winona State (2/17/25) in game one, where she threw 2.1 innings and struck out one.

Personal:Â Freeman is from St. James, Missouri, and is a graduate of St. James High School, where she left an impact both athletically and academically. A dominant force on the field, Alexus was a four-time First Team All-District and First Team All-Conference selection. She earned All-Region honors twice on both the First and Second Team and was a four-time All-Area honoree. Her dedication extended beyond the game, earning four Academic All-Conference selections and four All-State Academic selections. In 2023, she was named the Four Rivers Conference Player of the Year, becoming the only St. James softball player to ever receive this honor. She also excelled in track and field, qualifying for sectionals and the state championship in javelin in 2024.
Alexus made history in her high school career, tying the single-season home run record with seven and shattering multiple pitching records. She set the single-season strikeout record twice, first with 181 and then with an incredible 295 strikeouts. She also holds the career strikeout record with 511. Beyond high school, she competes with Crushers Elite out of Union, Missouri, a highly ranked travel ball team. Her team recently placed third at the national tournament in Gulf Shores and is ranked second in Missouri for USSSA points and fourth in the state for power rankings.
Off the field, Alexus is deeply involved in FFA, qualifying for the state level in Chapter Conduct of Meetings, Entomology, Meats, Parliamentary Procedure, and earning her State Degree. She enjoys photography, farm life, crocheting, and working out. Her favorite athletes are George Kittle, Brock Purdy, and Skylar Wallace. A passionate sports fan, she follows the San Francisco 49ers in football and supports Florida, Missouri, and Kansas softball. Alexus is the daughter of Laurie and Landon Freeman and the sister of Hunter.
