Quincy University Hawks

2024 (Senior): In her final season, Abbey made 25 starts, where she tossed 130.2 innings, including eight completed games and two shutouts, and had a 3.75 ERA. She struck out 85 batters while only walking 49 and had a .286 opponent batting average. She earned her first win in a Hawk uniform in a 6-3 victory over Walsh (2/24/24), where she tossed five innings and only surrendered one run. Hultz threw back-to-back complete game shutouts against Columbia (3/20/24) and Truman State (3/23/24), and she struck out a season-high nine batters against the Bulldogs.

2023 (Junior): Appeared in one game, making her first career start in a Hawk uniform against Minnesota Duluth (2/19/23), where she threw two scoreless frames and punched out two batters as well.

2022 (Sophomore at St. Charles CC): In her second season with the Cougars, Hultz was once again a dominant two-way player. At the plate, she hit .346 with six doubles and three triples and drove in 26. She had a .401 on-base percentage and was 12-12 when it came to stealing bags. In the circle, she had a 7-7 record across 123.2 innings pitched. She had a 4.75 ERA and punched out 128 batters while only walking 34.

2021 (Freshman at St. Charles CC): At the plate, Abbey hit .308 with eight doubles, four triples, and one home run. She drove in 24 and also had five stolen bases in five attempts. On the mound, she tossed 90.1 innings and had a 4.34 ERA. She struck out 103 batters and had an 8-7 record on the season.

Personal: Abigail "Abbey" Hultz returns home to Quincy after spending two years at St. Charles Community College. She is a native of Quincy, Illinois, and attended Canton High School, where she was a part of a 1A State Championship team in 2017. Abbey is the Daughter of Angie and Gordy Hultz and the sister of Emma and Kenzie. Abbey continues the tradition of attending QU, as he mother was a QU graduate. 

Why QU?
I chose QU because it was close to home and the best for me financially.
