Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Freshman): Peters stepped into the starting point guard role immediately during her freshman season, appearing in all 28 games with 25 starts. She averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and a team-leading 1.5 steals across 31.1 minutes per game.

Peters shot 40.0 percent from the field, 29.2 percent from three-point range, and 64.9 percent from the free throw line. She scored in double figures 12 times, led the Hawks in scoring four times, assists 13 times, and steals 13 times.

Peters made her collegiate debut against Cedarville (11/14/25), recording three points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. She scored a season-high 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting against Drury (12/6/25).

Personal: Karly Peters is from Camp Point, Illinois, and attended Camp Point Central High School, where she was a standout in softball, volleyball, and basketball for the Panthers. She is the daughter of Jenny Hetzler and Travis Peters, and has two siblings, Nate and Anna. Her mother, Jenny, is a 2006 graduate of Quincy University, continuing the QU family tradition.

Athletically, Karly was a decorated multi-sport athlete. On the basketball court, she was named to the Class 2A All-State Second Team and set the school record for deflections. On the softball diamond, she earned First Team All-State honors while also setting the school batting average record. Outside of athletics, Karly enjoys playing pickleball and is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
