Biography

Career: Williams appeared in 87 games across her collegiate career, spending one season at Abilene Christian, two seasons at Kansas Wesleyan, and one season with the Hawks. She totaled 663 points, 461 rebounds, 124 assists, 70 steals, and 57 blocks while averaging 7.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Williams made 238 field goals, 55 three-pointers, and 132 free throws during her career.

2025-26 (Senior): Williams appeared in 26 games with 23 starts during her first season with the Hawks. She averaged 7.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists across 24.7 minutes per game while shooting 39.4 percent from the field, 29.3 percent from three-point range, and 58.3 percent from the free throw line.

Williams made her Quincy debut against Cedarville (11/14/25), scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds. She scored in double figures nine times, led the Hawks in rebounds eight times, assists six times, and scoring three times.

2024-25 (Junior at Kansas Wesleyan): Williams appeared in 32 games with 31 starts during her junior season, averaging 28.2 minutes per game. She posted 9.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest while also contributing more than one steal and one block per game.

Williams scored in double figures 18 times, grabbed double-digit rebounds in nine games, and recorded seven double-doubles. Her top rebounding performance came in a win over Tabor (1/3/25), where she pulled down a season-high 17 boards. She also put together a stretch of seven straight games scoring in double figures.

2023-24 (Sophomore at Kansas Wesleyan): Williams appeared in 20 games with 15 starts during her first season at Kansas Wesleyan. She averaged 6.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 23.5 minutes per game while also totaling 15 steals and 15 blocks.

Williams made her first collegiate start on opening night against Bellevue (10/27/23), scoring in double figures for the first time with 11 points. She scored 10 or more points five times, highlighted by a season-high 18 points against Morningside (11/3/23). She also recorded the first double-double of her career in a win over York (2/24/24), finishing with 12 points and a season-high 11 rebounds.

2022-23 (Freshman at Abilene Christian): Williams appeared in nine games during her freshman season at Abilene Christian, totaling 48 minutes of action. She finished the year with 11 points, six rebounds, four steals, and one block. Williams made her collegiate debut against Howard Payne (11/9/22), scoring the first points of her career while adding two steals.

Personal: Hampton Williams is from Salina, Kansas, and attended Salina Central High School, where she competed for the Mustangs. She is the daughter of Gayle and Andy Williams and has two siblings, Gleason and Harper.

In high school, Hampton was a multi-sport athlete, lettering in basketball, volleyball, and soccer. She earned recognition as a member of the All-Kansas Team, the SIT All-Tournament Team, and was named All-County. On the court, she helped her team place second and third at state, compiling a strong record of 48-5 over two seasons. She also excelled academically as a four-year member of the National Honor Society and the honor roll.

Before coming to Quincy University, Hampton played collegiate basketball at Abilene Christian University for one year and at Kansas Wesleyan University for two years. Outside of athletics, she enjoys reading.

Why QU?
I chose QU because I really liked the team and the coaches, and I was looking for a place where I would grow on and off the court.
