Personal: McKenzie “Kenzie” Bernard is from Georgetown, Texas, and graduated from Georgetown High School, home of the Eagles. She is the daughter of Denise and Erik Bernard and has a brother, Michael Bernard.

Kenzie was an active member of the Criminal Justice Club, where she earned 2nd place in the state for booking procedures and also placed 2nd in the firefighter agility competition. Athletically, she made a significant impact on the volleyball court, finishing 3rd in the state with her high school team. She was named Defensive MVP for three consecutive years and broke the all-time career record for blocks at Georgetown High School with a total of 282.

In her free time, Kenzie enjoys crocheting, journaling, and searching for unique finds while thrifting.

Why QU?
I chose QU because of its warm and welcoming environment—everyone I met was incredibly kind. Academics have always been a top priority for me, and QU offers an excellent program in my major. On top of that, it has a fantastic volleyball program that I’m thrilled to be a part of!
