Biography
Personal: Grant Owen hails from Wentzville, Missouri, where he attended Wentzville Holt High School. He is the son of Jill and Dustin Owen and has a sister, Grace Owen. Grant also shares a special QU legacy—Paul Geerling, Grant's grandfather, competed for Quincy University Men's Soccer from 1973–74 and was part of two NAIA National Championship teams.
Grant made a splash in high school swimming, earning First Team All-Conference honors three times and becoming an Individual Conference Champion. He’s also known for his talent on the baseball field and has a deep passion for the sport—he loves attending baseball games, especially to cheer on his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
Some of his biggest athletic inspirations include Michael Phelps and Jordan Walker, reflecting both his swimming background and love for baseball.
Why QU?
I chose QU because of the great community of athletes to go along with the religious aspect of the university.
