Career (2021–25): Across his five-year collegiate career, one season at Upper Iowa, one at Francis Marion, and three with the Hawks, Vistnes appeared in 71 matches and made 64 starts, totaling 5,567 minutes of action. He finished his career with six goals and two assists for 15 points, serving as a steady and reliable presence across multiple back lines. Vistnes played the full 90 minutes 46 times and helped anchor defenses that combined for 18 shutouts.

2025 (Senior): In his senior season, Vistnes helped anchor a Hawks back line that recorded six shutouts and limited opponents to just 0.78 goals per game. He appeared and started all 18 matches, totaling 1,582 minutes, third most on the team, and played the full 90 minutes in 16 contests while spending just 38 total minutes on the bench. Vistnes scored one goal, which stood as the game-winner against Illinois Springfield (9/19/25), and also recorded an assist in the GLVC Tournament against Rockhurst (11/8/25).
2024 (Redshirt Junior): Vistnes appeared and started in 16 matches, totaling 1,368 minutes, the second most on the team. He played the full 90 minutes in 11 contests and scored three goals on five shots. He also recorded his first assist as a Hawk in a win over Lincoln (10/27/24),

2023 (Junior): In his first season with the Hawks, Vistnes appeared and started in six matches, totaling 402 minutes and playing the full 90 minutes three times. He scored his first goal in a Quincy uniform in a 3–2 victory over Rockhurst (10/13/23).

2022 (Sophomore at Francis Marion): Appeared in 14 games, making eight starts, for a total of 793 minutes. He would score his first collegiate goal against Wingate University (9/13/22).
2021 (Freshman at Upper Iowa): As a true freshman, Vistnes started all 18 matches and totaled 1,502 minutes, finishing second on the team in minutes played. He played the full 90 minutes 13 times, including 110 minutes in a double-overtime match against Saginaw Valley State (10/24/21). Vistnes recorded six shots on the season, placing two on goal.
Personal: Vistnes attended Upper Iowa and Francis Marion for a year each before joining the QU soccer program. He is originally from Randaburg, Norway, where he attended St. Svitun. In his spare time, Vistnes enjoys playing video games and watching sports. Paal is the son of Kristin and Thor Vistnes and the brother of Marie and Kristina.
