Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Junior): In his first season with the Hawks, Barbero was a key piece of Quincy’s midfield and defensive line, appearing in all 18 matches and making 15 starts while totaling 1,211 minutes. He recorded his first career point in a QU uniform with an assist in a 2–0 win over Drury (10/17/25).

2024 (Sophomore at Lewis & Clark CC): In his second season at Lewis & Clark, Barbero appeared in 19 matches and made 14 starts, scoring one goal and adding three assists while helping the team to a 15–5 record. He scored his first collegiate goal and recorded his first career assist in the same match, a victory over Harry S. Truman College (8/23/24). For the second consecutive season, he was part of a defense that posted seven shutouts.

2023 (Freshman at Lewis & Clark CC): In his first collegiate season, Barbero appeared in all 17 matches and made 11 starts. He helped guide the team to a 10–3–4 overall record and was part of a defense that posted a 0.76 goals-against average with seven shutouts. He made his collegiate debut against Greenville University (8/19/23), contributing to a 2–0 shutout victory.

Personal: Lucca Barbero, from Guararema, São Paulo, Brazil, is a graduate of Victory Rock Prep where he competed for the Blue Devils. He spent two seasons at Lewis & Clark Community College before transferring to Quincy University. He is the son of Fábio Barbero and Camila Cauvilla Barbero and has two sisters, Júlia and Clara Cauvilla Barbero. Outside of the game, Lucca enjoys playing altinha and futevôlei. His sports role model is Neymar, and his favorite team is Corinthians.

I chose QU because it offered the perfect combination of strong academics and a competitive athletic program. From the start, I felt like the coaching staff believed in me, not just as a player, but as a person. The team culture, the facilities, and the opportunity to grow both on and off the field made it an easy decision.
