Biography
2024-25 (Senior): In his senior season, Kruse golfed in all nine tournaments for the Hawks, where he had an average of 78.4 strokes per round across 23 rounds. He shot a low round of 70 in the Arch Cup and had a top-ten finish in the Konzem-Capra Invitational, where he shot a 153 (+9), which was good for a sixth-place finish.

2023-24 (Junior): Ryan golfed in nine tournaments for a total of 22 rounds, where he totaled 1796 strokes for an average of 81.6 strokes per round. His top finish of the season came during the Flyer Spring Invitational, where he finished tied for 17th out of 49 golfers.

2022-23 (Sophomore): For the second straight season, Kruse led the Hawks with a 77.7 average through ten tournaments and 24 rounds. His best finish came at home during the QU Invite, where he finished third place, with a total of 146 (+6).

2021-22 (Freshman): As a freshman, Kruse golfed in all nine tournaments for a total of 22 rounds, where he had a team best 78.7 average per round. His best finish came during the C-SC Wildcat Classic, where he finished 8th out of 26 total golfers.

Personal:Â Ryan Kruse, a talented golfer from Waterloo, Illinois, graduated from Gibault Catholic High School, where he made a significant impact both athletically and academically. A standout on the golf course, he was recognized as an All-State golfer in his senior year and contributed to his team's success as part of the Metro East Team of the Year in 2021.
Beyond athletics, Ryan was actively involved in FFA, serving as the organization's treasurer and showcasing his leadership skills and dedication to agriculture. He enjoys watching baseball and following his favorite teams, with a passion for the St. Louis Blues. His favorite athletes are Tommy Fleetwood and Sammy Blais. Ryan is the son of Kathy and Maurice Kruse and the brother of Colin.
Why QU?
I chose QU because I liked the campus and the indoor golf facility that was offered. I wanted to go to a smaller school because all my life, I had gone to small catholic schools.
