Quincy University Hawks

2023-24 (Senior): In his senior season, David saw action in seven tournaments and totaled 16 rounds, where he averaged 78.4 strokes per round. His best finish of the season came during the Wildcat Fall Classic, where he finished tied for ninth. He shot a season-low round of 75 in the Arch Cup.

2022-23 (Junior): In his first season with the Hawks, David saw action in eight tournaments, where he totaled 18 rounds and averaged 79.7 strokes per round. His best finish of the season came during the Quincy University Invite when he finished tied for fifth place.

Personal: Before coming to QU, Hutson spent two years at Heartland Community College, where he was on the golf team. He is originally from Quincy, where he graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School. David is the son of Roberta and Jay Hutson and the brother of Adam and Allison. He continues the QU tradition, as his father, Jay, and uncle, Jeff Hutson, both graduated from QU. In high school, he placed third place in state in 2018 and second place in state in 2019. His favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.
