Biography
2025 (Senior): In her senior season, Day appeared and started in all 16 games on the defensive side of the field for the Hawks. Sami scooped up 12 ground balls, caused 6 turnovers, and recorded two draw controls.

2024 (Junior): Day appeared in all 19 games for the Hawks, starting in all but one. She recorded 13 ground balls and forced nine turnovers on a defensive front that helped the Hawks to their first GLVC tournament appearance.

2023 (Sophomore): In her second season, Day appeared in 15 games, making five starts, where she recorded five ground balls and caused two turnovers.
2022 (Freshman): Sami appeared in eleven games as a freshman, making nine starts on the defensive end for the Hawks, where she recorded two ground balls and forced two turnovers.
Personal: Sami travels north to be a Hawk, as she hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended Nerinx High School and was a part of their varsity lacrosse program. Outside of athletics, Day enjoys hanging out with her friends, and she is also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and City SC. Sami is the daughter of Sara and Rick Day and the sister of her one sibling, Jon. Her father, Rick, was a part of the 1981 Quincy men's soccer team that is in the Quincy Hall of Fame.
Why QU?
I chose QU because it gave me a chance to play lacrosse at the next level, and my dad was a QU graduate.
