Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Freshman): Martin appeared in all 28 games off the bench during his freshman season with the Hawks. He averaged 3.6 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 11.9 minutes per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 71.9 percent from the free throw line.

Martin made his collegiate debut against Cedarville (11/15/25), scoring four points and grabbing one rebound. He scored in double figures three times, including a season-high 12 points against Southwest Baptist (1/31/26), which led the team.

Personal: Herb Martin is a native of Edwardsville, Illinois, and a graduate of Edwardsville High School, where he starred for the Tigers basketball program. He is the son of Herb and Tawnya Martin.

Martin built an impressive high school resume, earning Don Mauer Tournament MVP, Effingham Tournament MVP, and Althoff Shootout MVP honors while also finishing among Edwardsville’s top 10 single-season scorers. As a senior, he averaged 23.1 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals per game while helping lead the Tigers to an SWC Conference Championship. He also earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State honors.
