Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Junior): Leal put together a fantastic junior season across 14 games, breaking multiple single-season records, including draw controls in a season (78), caused turnovers per game (1.57), and draw controls per game (5.57). She also scored 27 goals and dished out seven assists for 34 total points. Her 22 caused turnovers led the team and she also had 17 ground balls. Emily had seven multi-goal games, including a five-goal game in an overtime victory over Concordia-St. Paul (3/16/25). Her season-high in draw controls was 12, which came during a victory over Northern Michigan (3/5/25), which was the same game she caused a season-high four turnovers.

2024 (Sophomore): Emily appeared and started in all 19 games for the Hawks, where she was third on the team scoring 28 goals. She also assisted on six goals, picked up 21 ground balls, caused 13 turnovers, and was third on the team with 43 draw controls.

2023 (Freshman): In her freshman campaign, started three games, scoring 5 goals. She collected six ground balls, caused three turnovers and had 11 draw controls before her season was cut short to injury.

Personal: Emily is the daughter of Fred and Veronica Leal, hailing from Rockwall High School in Rockwall, Texas. With the Yellowjackets, Leal was a Division 2 Texas State Runner-up and received all-state honors twice. She was a Spanish Club History, a part of the National Honor Society, and was an AP Scholar with Honors. The accounting/finance major enjoys playing video games, crocheting, and watching hockey in her free time. Her favorite athletes are Izzy Scane and Charlotte North, and she loves cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys.
