Biography

Personal: Tykell Hammers, from Quincy, Illinois, is a standout graduate of Quincy Senior High School, where he earned three All-Conference selections and two All-State honors. He holds multiple school records, including receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, single-game receiving yards, and single-season receptions. Tykell helped lead his team to two WB6 championships and ranked 44th nationally in receiving yards and top 10 all-time in receptions in IHSA history. The son of Michelle and grandson of Delores, he has siblings Jontae, Kyana, Faith, Fanayah, and Faizon. A fan of the Chiefs, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Texas Longhorns, Tykell draws inspiration from Stefon Diggs, Jeremiah Smith, and Julio Jones.
