2024 (Sophomore at Concord): Appeared in one game against Wheeling (11/9/24), where he had one catch for six yards.

2023 (Freshman at Concord): Appeared in five games, making his collegiate debut against Charleston (WV) (9/7/23), and hauled in his first career pass against Wheeling (9/23/23), which went for 26 yards.

Personal: Shawn Ratliff II, a Joliet West High School Tigers alum, spent two seasons at Concord University before making his way to QU. The son of Ranea and Shawn Ratliff, he has four siblings: Domanique Waters, Jeremiah, Jasmine, and Isaiah Ratliff. A standout both academically and athletically, Shawn was an All-Academic Team and National Honor Society member, as well as Football Offensive MVP, Newcomer MVP, and Freshman of the Year. He helped his team capture the 8A SPC Blue Conference Championship and finished his most recent semester with a 3.8 GPA. Off the field, Shawn enjoys watching movies and Netflix series, cheering for the Golden State Warriors and Kansas City Chiefs, and looks forward to a future career as a therapist in a mental hospital.

I chose QU because of the open doors that everybody on campus welcomes you with. The welcoming arms that everybody extends feel like a home away from home. On the football side, Coach Killday has a record of being successful, and who would not want to be a part of that! With the incoming of Coach Warner and his being an ex-NFL player, he brings a different perspective and experience to the football life here at Quincy University that anyone would be lucky to be a part of! The opportunity to grow and succeed here is something that is limitless. The success that the football teams have had in the past and the connections that come with being on the team, you get family connections that last forever. It’s a family feeling that you get from the team and coaches before you even step on campus. Couldn’t ask for anything else when looking for a fresh start in a college program!
