Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Senior): Barfield appeared in all 11 games during his senior season with the Hawks, making eight starts along the defensive line. He finished the year with 42 tackles, including 21 solo stops and 21 assists.

Barfield ranked second on the team with nine tackles for loss for 38 yards, while also adding 3.5 sacks for 27 yards. He also recorded one fumble recovery, one quarterback hurry, and two pass breakups. Barfield posted a season-high six tackles in two games, including against Southwest Baptist (11/15/25), where he added 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack.

2024 (Junior): In his second season with QU, Julius saw action in six games and recorded one tackle in a win over Lincoln (9/7/24).

2023 (Redshirt Sophomore): In his first season with the Hawks, Barfield appeared in three games, where he recorded four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. He made his collegiate debut in a Hawk uniform against Modonna (9/9/23), where he made his first tackle. His first career sack came in a win over Fort Lauderdale (9/16/23).

2022 (Sophomore at FAU): Did not see action.

2021 (Freshman at FAU): Did not see action. 

Personal: Julius joined the Quincy football team after spending two seasons at Florida Atlantic University. He spent his high school career at Eau Gallie High School, where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Commodores. Outside of football, Barfield enjoys reading, and his favorite athletes are Khalil Mack, Julio Jones, and Odell Beckham Jr. Julius is the son of Kimberly Barfield..
