Personal: Frey is from Edwardsville, Illinois, and attended Edwardsville High School. He is the son of Darla and Ken Frey and has one sibling, Gabe. During his high school career, Frey earned Second Team All-SWC honors and was named Edwardsville High School Offensive MVP.

Away from the field, Frey enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends. His favorite athlete is Ja’Marr Chase and his favorite sports team is the Baltimore Ravens.
