Quincy University Hawks

2025 (Freshman): Genenbacher made an immediate impact during his freshman season with the Hawks, appearing in 10 games and making one start at tight end. He became a valuable piece of Quincy’s offense as both a blocker and receiving option, finishing the year with 16 receptions for 112 yards.

Genenbacher tied for the team lead with four receiving touchdowns. He made his collegiate debut against Concordia-St. Paul (8/28/25), recording his first career reception and first career touchdown. His top performance came against Roosevelt (9/6/25), where he posted season highs with four receptions and 25 receiving yards.

Personal: Genenbacher is from Camp Point, Illinois, and attended Camp Point Central High School, where he competed for the Panthers.

He is the son of Marvin and Tracy Genenbacher and has three siblings, Isaac, Agnes, and Iris. His mother, Tracy, is a Quincy University graduate. Genenbacher earned High Honor Roll recognition during his high school career.

During his high school career, Genenbacher competed in football and basketball. On the football field, he helped Camp Point Central win the first state championship in any sport in school history and was a three-time Class 1A All-State selection. He also set the program’s career tackle record with 426. On the basketball court, he earned All-Conference honors and helped the Panthers reach the deepest playoff run in program history.

Away from the field, Genenbacher enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. His favorite athlete is Luke Kuechly and his favorite sports team is the Chicago Bears.
