Personal: Daniel Gibson attended Lemont High School in Lemont, IL, where he excelled both academically and athletically. A varsity starter in football, lacrosse, and track, he was a state and sectional qualifier in track, helped secure a semi-final finish in football, and contributed to Lemont Lacrosse's first-ever playoff win. His football team also won the SSC Conference Championship from 2020 to 2024.

Academically, Daniel was an honor roll student for three consecutive years and attended a National Blue Ribbon School. He also engaged in volunteer coaching for a youth program and worked with the Ellie Foundation.

Daniel is the son of Kathleen Gibson. His great uncle, William Keane, graduated from Quincy University (1961-1965), and his other great uncle, John Keane, played football at Northwestern University (1968-1972), serving as the freshman team captain and earning Second Team Academic All-Big 10 honors.

His hobbies include golf, basketball, video games, coaching, and men’s league softball. His favorite athletes are Jaire Alexander, Jordan Love, Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Davante Adams. He is a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Bucks, and Chicago Blackhawks.

Why QU?
I chose QU because of the environment and feeling of the campus and the football team, as I think I’ll enjoy my time, find great friends, play my best in a great environment, and get amazing schooling.
