Biography

2023 (Sophomore): In his first season with the Hawks, Wilson saw action in two games. He made his collegiate debut against Madonna (9/9/23) and recorded his first career reception against Fort Lauderdale (9/16/23).

2022 (Freshman at South Alabama): Did not see action.

Personal: Cooper Wilson, from Spanish Fort, Alabama, is a graduate of Spanish Fort High School, where he competed for the Toros. Before coming to Quincy, Wilson spent one year at the University of South Alabama, where he played football. 

During his time in high school, Cooper was part of a successful football program, contributing to a Class 6A State Championship win in 2021-2022 and a runner-up finish in the 2020-2021 season. He also competed in track and field, earning third place in the javelin. 

Academically, Cooper was a member of the National Honor Society. He is the son of Ashley and Seth Wilson and has three siblings: Harleigh, Sawyer, and Holdan, who played football at the University of New England from 2018 to 2023. 

Outside of athletics, Cooper enjoys hunting, fishing, diving, working out, and spending time with friends. He looks up to athletes like George Kittle, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman, and cheers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and St. Louis Cardinals. Cooper also serves with the Surf and Rescue Unit at the Orange Beach Fire Department, where he is certified as an emergency care provider.

Why QU? 
I chose QU because it was the only place that had everything I wanted. I felt like it was the place where I was wanted and had the chance to prove myself.
